The activities of our elected officials must be carefully monitored to ensure they are not giving undue favor to their business or personal associates. We must also provide them support so they are not intimidated by big companies who can afford lawsuits and other expensive obstruction of government operations. This is especially so when those individuals seek special treatments that negatively affect other property owners' rights.
