The VAN (Voter Activation Network) List is available for all candidates who are uncontested in the primary elections. Contact Nancy at the MDP to register for an account at nbosak@michigandems.com or to arrange training.

If you think you might be involved in a campaign during the next election cycle (either as a candidate or volunteer), consider going to one of the Michigan Democratic Party training events. 2009 events flyer.pdf

OpenSecrets.org lets you search by place, by industry, by candidate, etc. Interesting how lobbyists' contributions change depending upon who is expected to win.

MoneyLine.com access US Congressional lobbying database, news reports, etc.

CampaignMoney.com lets you search by candidates, but also find contributors by zipcode and occupation or check specific organizations. For example, who would have thought anethesiologists were big contributors to both parties?
